Wilmington Health Foundation Announces First Grant

The Wilmington Health Foundation awarded its first grant, worth $20,000, to the Family Fit Challenge.
 
The Family Fit Challenge is a Wilmington area program promoting education among local families on health, fitness and a quality way of life, according to a news release.
 
The Wilmington Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization created by Wilmington Health Associates that is dedicated to creating healthy communities by encouraging proper health education, the release stated.
 
“We are excited about our first grant. The purpose of the foundation is to increase individuals’ engagement in their own health and wellness, and the Family Fit Challenge does just that,” Wilmington Health Foundation board member and Wilmington Health CEO Jeff James said in the release. “We look forward to working with other organizations to promote these ideals.”
