Brewer To Become Community Foundation's Area Representative

By Jenny Callison, posted Jan 19, 2015
The North Carolina Community Foundation has named Angie Brewer the new regional associate for its southeast region, which includes Brunswick, Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pender Robeson and Sampson counties. Sally Migliore, the foundation’s director of community leadership, made the announcement in a recent email.

Brewer, a Wilmington resident, currently serves as the community outreach and investment specialist with PPD, leading “committees of employee volunteers in developing strategic community engagement and funding approaches in their local communities,” according to the email. She has more than seven years of corporate grantmaking experience, including helping to educate PPD employees on effective philanthropic practices. She also serves on the Program Committee for the annual meeting of the N.C. Network of Grantmakers, the email stated.

Brewer, who succeeds Patricia Lawler in the position, begins work Jan. 26.
