By Jenny Callison, posted Sep 30, 2014
Wilmington’s Community Boys & Girls Club is one of 10 Boys & Girls Clubs in the U.S. that has been given the All Stars 2014 Healthy Lifestyles Capital Building Award, a grant funded by Buffalo Wild Wings, the club announced recently.

The $25,000 grant will be used to develop, renovate and repair sports facilities at the club, according to the club’s news release.

“The All Stars program, along with Community Boys & Girls Club, strives to facilitate healthy lifestyles opportunities for as many youth as possible – while also ensuring that youth have world-class experiences when participating in healthy lifestyle activities at our clubs,” the release stated.

The Community Boys & Girls Club has served young people of Wilmington since 1937, helping them reach their goals by exposing them to character development and leadership, health and fitness, the arts, sports and educational opportunities, the release stated.
