WHAT Announces New Board Members, Officers

Wilmington Health Access for Teens (WHAT) has elected four new members to its board of directors, according to a news release from the organization.

They are L.S. “Bo” Dean Jr., New Hanover County’s human resource analyst for training and development; LaVaughn Nesmith, director of New Hanover County Department of Social Services; Clancy Thompson, owner of Classic Biscotti; and The Rev. Cheryl M. Walker, minister of Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Wilmington. 
 
WHAT also announced its new officers: president Jack Britt, of First Community Bank; vice president Dana O’Donovan, of Monitor Deloitte; treasurer Brad Hudson, of Raymond James Financial Services Inc.; member-at-large Martin Butler, of SEAHEC; and secretary  Christine McNamee, of New Hanover County Department of Social Services.
 
Continuing board members are Travis Corpening, Graciela Espinosa-Hernandez, Tim Markley, Keith Strawn, Samantha Dooies, Roger Fuller, Adrienne Jackson, Catrecia McCoy Bowman, Panza McNeill, Cris Point, Sarah Reamer Buzzard, Steve Schnitzler, Carolyn Simmons, Hans Stelmach, Denise Szaloky and Mike Womble.

WHAT is a community-based nonprofit organization that provides primary care, mental health and health education services to teens in southeastern North Carolina.
