Two Business Resiliency Counselors Join SBTDC In Wilmington

The Small Business and Technology Development Center at the University of North Carolina Wilmington has hired Cynthia DeVita-Cochrane and Cheryl Young as business resiliency counselors, according to a news release.

DeVita-Cochrane recently joined the Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) at UNCW with experience as a mediator, business coach, entrepreneur and industrial-organizational psychologist, stated the release.

She has more than 20 years of organizational development/organizational behavior consulting experience in high impact settings from health care to nuclear power plants.
 
DeVita-Cochrane earned a bachelor's degree at Pepperdine University, and completed mediation training through a joint program with CCS of Los Angeles and Pepperdine Law School, officials said. She earned her masters and Ph.D. from Walden University.  

Young (right) joined the COVID-19 Business Recovery and Resiliency Program of the SBTDC, stated the release.

She has 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, and was a business consultant with the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Shippensburg University for 13 years, stated the release.

She moved to Wilmington in March.
