New Hanover Regional Medical Center has named Brian Turner its director of construction services.

Turner has more than 20 years’ experience working on construction projects at NHRMC. As a contractor and construction superintendent, he has been involved in some of the “most influential construction projects in the medical center’s history,” according to a news release.

Those projects include work on the medical center’s surgical pavilion, heart center, outpatient services, inpatient and outpatient pharmacies, post-anesthesia care unit and eight-floor patient tower renovation on the NHRMC main campus.

In Turner’s new role, he will oversee current projects including the renovation and expansion of the hospital's emergency department and NHRMC Zimmer Cancer Center, the release stated.

“Brian’s experience working here at NHRMC is invaluable,” Tom Walsh, NHRMC vice president of facilities and support services, said in the release. “His depth of knowledge and connections to the NHRMC community and construction industry make him a strong leader as we expand our service to patients in our region.”
