Century 21 Sweyer & Associates announced recently that Robert Quinn has joined its firm as a sales associate.

Morgan earns appraisal designation
Real estate appraiser Cal Morgan, of JC Morgan Company, has been awarded the AI-GRS (General Review Specialist) designation by the Appraisal Institute. This designation, according to a recent release by the company, is held by real estate appraisers who are experienced in commercial real estate appraisal review.

“By receiving the AI-GRS designation, Mr. Morgan has joined an elite group of appraisers who have met rigorous professional requirements relating to education, testing, experience, understanding and ability. Also, designees agree to abide by the Appraisal Institute’s Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and Code of Professional Ethics,” the release stated.

The professional appraisal review designation program was developed in response to “the growing and critically important role that appraisal review plays in risk management and mitigation for many clients/users of appraisal services,” the release stated.

Morgan opened JC Morgan’s Wilmington office in 2010. The firm also has a location in Charlotte, according to its website.

Fox and Blanton join Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners
Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners LLC has welcomed two new sales professionals to its firm, according to a recent news release.

Allan Fox (at right), a native of Wilmington, is a graduate of UNCW’s Cameron School of Business, where he earned a degree in business management, the release stated. After graduation, he worked in the banking industry before spending the past nine years as vice president of sales and operations for a local transportation broker.

Lawrence Blanton (at left), also a native Wilmingtonian, holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Appalachian State University. In addition to serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, where he was an environmental compliance officer, Blanton was vice president of marketing for a national waste management software firm, according to the release. He has been in the local real estate market for nearly 10 years prior to joining Coldwell Banker Commercial Sun Coast Partners.

Stephenson is new office manager for ECCRE
Eastern Carolinas Commercial Real Estate Firm has hired Julie Stephenson as office manager, the firm announced recently. Prior to joining ECCRE, Stephenson managed the office of a local law firm.

Through Cape Fear Community College’s paralegal technology program, Stephenson has been certified in real property and civil litigation, according to ECCRE’s news release, and plans to obtain her realtor’s license.

Kinney earns CRB designation
Denise Kinney (at left), vice president and director of sales for Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, has earned the Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) designation presented by the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors, the company announced recently in a news release.

“The CRB is recognized as the industry’s measure of success for real estate brokers and managers,” the release stated, adding that, according to the council, the median gross personal income of a CRB designee is 57 percent higher than that of their Realtor colleagues who lack the designation.

Kinney, a seven-year veteran of Coldwell Banker Sea Coast Advantage, was promoted to her current position in July of this year, the release stated.
