Wilmington-based MegaCorp Logistics recently received its certificate of occupancy for the firm’s second expansion of its offices at 7040 Wrightsville Ave.
Wilmington-based CCSI Inc., which completed the company’s first office renovation in October 2011, is wrapping up construction and renovation work on the second-story offices this week.
Ryan Legg, owner and president of MegaCorp, said Thursday the accounting and billing division will move into the renovated 6,000-square-feet of office space, allowing the firm to free up additional space to hire more sales reps downstairs.
MegaCorp, which operates offices in Elkins, W.Va., Chicago and Cincinnati, houses its accounting and billing operations in Wilmington.
Legg said the division would move into their new space by Friday, Feb. 22.
While roughly 4,000 square feet of space will be dedicated to accounting and billing services, the remaining renovated space also includes additional storage for files and equipment, a new break room and an exercise room equipped with showers, weights and cardio machines for its employees.
Founded in 2009, MegaCorp Logistics is a third-party logistics firm that continues to experience growth.
The firm recently landed contracts to provide its services to national retailers such as Home Depot and Walmart. In July 2012, the firm also landed an account with The Cheesecake Factory to help ship its cheesecakes to big box warehouse retailers such as Costco and Sam’s Club. The firm also purchased three refrigerated trucks, enabling the company to transport poultry, produce and dairy products to clients across the country.
